NEED PRAYER?
Our pastor would love to make an appointment to see you.
14 DAY PRAYER VIGIL
Thank you for joining us in a 15-day prayer vigil. Take time every day in a quiet place to read the scriptures and pray. We are asking that you fast on Tuesdays. For those that can go on a no food fast, or if you have a medical condition, do your best to eat vegetables and soup broth that day with any adjustments that your doctor suggests. Please Understand that fasting is not compulsory (mandatory). It is done by choice and it is a private commitment between you and God. Go to http://www.ccci.org/training-and-growth/devotional-life/7-steps-to-fasting/index.htm for more information.
DAY 1
MATTHEW 6:9-13
Who is God to you?
What do you need to do in your personal life to live more in the will of God?
What needs do you need to bring before God?
From what sins do you need to ask God for forgiveness?
In what area of your life do you need God’s protection today?
After answering these questions, go to God and pray about them. Express to him how you feel and what is on your mind. Ask him for strength to live holy and boldly for him. We can not reach people for Christ until we dedicate and consecrate ourselves to him.
Day 2
Romans 12:1, 2
What areas in your life do you need to surrender to Jesus (time, money, resources, Bible reading, conduct, lifestyle, worship)?
What can you do today in your living to show what is good and acceptable to God?
What is the junk in your heart or mind that you need to clean up and change?
Pray that God will make you a living witness for Him by the way you live and talk. Ask God to open doors so you can share your faith to someone today by giving your testimony of how you became a Christian, sharing a tract, or leading them through the ABCs of the Gospel found at https://greatcommissionevangelisticministry.org/how-to-get-to-heaven.
Day 3
Matthew 9:35-38
Who have you seen in your community that fits the description of verse 36?
Pray that God will send workers to join us in working the Harvest of the High Desert. Pray that God will prick our hearts to be a good witness to those around us. Pray that we will be a vital part of spreading his word in our community. Pray that he will open up the hearts of those that our church will meet as we go and share the gospel with them.
Day 4
Luke 10: 1-24
What challenges may you face as a Christian sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ?
Ask God to give you strength and courage as you share his words with your friends, family, and associates. Also, pray that God will bless and protect those that will be going out in the community to do door-to-door prayer ministry. Pray that God will help them find persons of peace. Pray that souls will be saved and that he will add to our church body.
Day 5
Matthew 28:18-20
What is Jesus’ command to the disciples?
How can you be a part of winning the lost for Christ, training them to follow Christ, and engaging others to be a part of the ministry of the church and missions?
Ask God to give you the strength and power to do his work. Ask him where he wants you to serve in his ministry if it has not already been revealed to you. Ask God to bless our team as they go out tomorrow to prayer walk their designated area. Pray that God will answer our church's prayer that we become a Great Commission Church and impact its community and make a change for Jesus.
Day 6
Ephesians 6: 10-20
How is prayer such a powerful weapon in the fight for souls?
Pray that God will open the hearts of the people in the designated community that our team will be in prayer for. Pray that God will meet the needs of individual families that live in the area. Pray that God will help them see the need to have a Savior. Pray that God will help Christians that have fallen away from his will become restored. Pray that God will bring protection to the children in this area and protect them from predators. Pray that God will guide our door-to-door with the team to say the right words to lead those who live in this area to a relationship to Christ. Pray for the needs of the congregation, and also pray that God will move and direct our pastor’s heart.
Day 7
Day of Fasting
Philippians 4:4-7
Take time today to thank God for the things that he has done in your life and those around you. Ask God to help your life be an example of his love and salvation. Take time to pray for others and your own needs.
Day 8
Ezekiel 3:18-21
How are we modern watchmen over our community? Has the responsibility to share God’s word changed from then to now? Do we hold partial responsibility if we refuse to share the gospel when God’s Spirit prompts us?
Acknowledge to God that you are a watchman to your neighborhood and community. Ask him to give you the strength and courage to share Jesus’ good news. Ask him to help you be sensitive to situations where the door has opened to share your faith with others. Ask him to help you not to shrink back or show fear.
Day 9
Matthew 8: 1-13
These verses show a formula for having miracles occur in your life. The centurion and leper recognized that Jesus was the only one that could help them. They both asked Jesus for help. They had faith that Jesus could remedy their problems. Jesus then performed miracles. Miracles only occurred so that they and others around them would be led to have faith in Jesus and depend upon him. We need to pray in faith that God will allow us to reach the lost for Christ. We must pray in faith that he will perform miracles, save souls, have them come to Bible study, devote their lives to God, and become a part of the ministry of our church. Pray that God will also perform miracles in the lives of those that our team prays for as they walk the neighborhood.
Day 10
Matthew 8:18-22
What excuses do we give God about not being involved in his ministry? What excuses do we give God to not make him a priority in our time, money, family, or social life? What excuse do we give to God concerning not sharing the gospel legends and family? Pray to God and ask for forgiveness for areas in your life where you have fallen short. Pray that he will help you to overcome the barriers that keep you from following his will. Pray that God will open up the heart of those in the area where our team will be surveying. Pray that those hearing the word of God will not have excuses for not having a personal relationship with Him.
Day 11
Mark 4: 1-20
This scripture tells about how the word has been spread all over the world like a farmer who sows his crops. Some receive the word well and some will not. Our prayer team will be farming the field in our community. Pray that the door hangers fall on good ground. Ask that the fruit of that seed will be souls saved, souls, joining us and becoming trained, and then becoming involved in ministries and missions. Pray that Satan will not come and steal away the seed from them. Pray that the thorns of life will not choke them out from developing a strong positive relationship with Jesus. Pray that the word will take root in their soul. Pray that they will not make a shallow commitment and then just die out.
Day 12
Act 1:1-14
What was required for a person to be a powerful witness for Christ?
Pray that God’s Spirit will influence and control those that will be ministering to our community. Pray that His Spirit will also prepare the hearts of those that will hear his word. Pray that His Spirit will prick the heart of those hearing his word and that they will become saved. Pray that they will receive His Spirit and walk-in power in Jesus’ name.
Day 13
Day of Fasting
John 17: 20-21
Jesus prayed for all those that would later receive him as their personal Lord and Savior. He prayed that we would be one in him. This is done by being bonded together by the Holy Spirit, living in obedience to his word and truth, and working as one body to win the lost and build each other in Christ. Pray that the members of your church work together in one accord. Pray that those that become saved will join with us to strengthen the body and work as one to win this community for Christ. Pray that God will send a revival not just in our Church, but all the churches that are in our area. Pray that we will all have a common desire and motivation to take back our community for Christ.
Day 14
Joshua 6:1-20
Pray that God will break down the spiritual strongholds in the community that we are reaching. Pray that he will break down the wall of resistance of the hearts of those who will hear his word. Pray that he will take away barriers that would prevent new converts from coming and fellowshipping with us. Pray that he will give us a spiritual victory and allow us to see souls become saved.
Day 15
Day of Fasting
James 5:13 -18
Pray that God will do miracles as we pray and have people respond to the flyers. Pray that we will see the results of our prayer and that souls will be saved and join us in the effort to reach our community for Christ.
